Sub-forum on Emergency Rescue of the 2025 Belt and Road Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Management Held in Sanya

On November 7, the Ministry of Emergency Management of the People’s Republic of China held the Sub-forum on Emergency Rescue of the 2025 Belt and Road Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Management in Sanya, Hainan Province.

He Ning, Deputy Director of the National Fire and Rescue Administration, together with officials from relevant departments of Belarus, Myanmar, Uruguay, and representatives from international organizations, attended the sub-forum and delivered remarks. 

He Ning noted that the Chinese government has always adhered to a people-centered philosophy, placing disaster prevention, mitigation, and emergency management at a key position in national governance. In recent years, China’s comprehensive national fire and rescue forces have continuously strengthened their capacity, focused on practical operations, carried out technological breakthroughs, and actively participated in international rescue operations, demonstrating China’s responsibility as a major country. He expressed his expectation to deepen international cooperation in emergency rescue, jointly address disaster risks, and contribute to building a community with a shared future for mankind. 

Participants expressed their willingness to strengthen collaboration in professional training, technical exchange, and joint exercises, advance information sharing and standardization alignment, draw on advanced experiences, and jointly enhance emergency response capabilities and regional resilience, promoting the establishment of closer international cooperation mechanisms. 

The sub-forum conducted exchanges on topics including emergency rescue capacity building, typical cases, and innovative applications of “AI+” in disaster response.
