The Chinese team won team championship at World Fire and Rescue Championship concluded in Harbin, northeast China

On Sept. 10, 2024, the 19th Men's and 10th Women's World Fire and Rescue Championships, hosted by the Ministry of Emergency Management of China, National Fire and Rescue Administration and the People's Government of Heilongjiang Province, closed in Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang in northeast China. 
Alexander Chupriyan, President of International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers, attended the closing ceremony and announced the closing of this World Championships. Andrei Kalinin, Director of the Executive Committee of International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers, delivered a speech. 
Hao Junhui, head of National Fire and Rescue Administration of China attended the event and presented awards. Wang Hesheng, Mayor of Harbin were present and delivered a speech.
During the competition of four days, a total of 11 countries participated in the Championship, with 9 countries and international organizations and fire departments of Hong Kong and Macao of China viewed on the site. 
After fierce competition, the Chinese team won the men's team championship, the first ever team title the Chinese team won. In addition, the Chinese team won two more gold medals, men's fire 4×100 meters event and women's hand-held motor pump water target shooting event. 
During the event, delegates from participating countries visited exhibition of fire equipment and experienced the charm of the host city. With joint efforts of all parties, this World Fire and Rescue Championship has achieved to organize a "simple, safe and fantastic" event, presenting the world a high-level international fire and rescue sports competition.
