Trainees attending Workshop on Chemical Park and Emergency Management for Belt and Road Countries visited China's Huawei

Sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China, co-organized by International Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Emergency Management of China and China International Economic Consultants Co., Ltd., the Workshop on Chemical Park and Emergency Management for Belt and Road Countries was held in Beijing recently.
20 Trainees from 5 countries including Botswana, Nepal, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone participated in the workshop. The event is the first workshop on China-aid human resources development and cooperation project for chemical park and emergency management under the Belt and Road 1000-Person Training Program in Emergency Management. 
China announced 14 cooperation initiatives during the 2023 Belt and Road Ministerial Forum for International Cooperation in Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Management, including the Belt and Road 1000-Person Training Program in Emergency Management. The program aims to actively carry out exchanges and cooperation in the field of emergency management with Belt and Road countries and enhance the level of mutual recognition. 
Focused on safety management and emergency response of chemical parks, the workshop is of great significance to give full play of the advantaged of the Belt and Road platform and actively promote the level of emergency management in chemical parks. 
On November 1, 2024, trainees paid a visit to Huawei Exhibition Center, Beijing to have an in-depth understanding of Huawei's cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions. 
Huawei presented a technological feast to trainees with its advanced information and communication infrastructure and intelligent terminal products. Huawei's products and technologies cover many fields, from 5G technology to cloud computing, from smart terminals to enterprise digital transformation solutions, demonstrating its leading position in the field of communication technology globally. In the area of chemical parks, Huawei demonstrated its innovative applications in intelligent manufacturing, smart logistics, and energy management, which can effectively improve the operational efficiency and safety of chemical parks.
During the visit, trainees had in-depth technical exchanges and discussions with Huawei experts on related products and solutions, and they agreed to have further discussions later on. 
The visit to Huawei had not only enabled the trainees to personally experience Huawei's innovative technologies and solutions, but also built a bridge among Belt and Road states for future cooperation. In the context of the Belt and Road Initiative, cooperation with Huawei will help promote the process of internationalization for emergency management in chemical parks and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
