Friendship between nations lies in amity between peoples, and amity between peoples stems from mutual understanding. Transnational mutual assistance has always been a bond that unites hearts and a bridge that conveys warmth.

Disasters are ruthless, but humanity is kind; times of adversity reveal original aspirations. When major earthquake suddenly struck Myanmar, tearing apart the land and leaving homes destroyed and compatriots trapped, the Power China International Group's Myanmar project immediately activated its emergency response mechanism under the precise guidance of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, launching a transnational rescue race against time. From sourcing supplies to clearing access routes, from assembling personnel to deploying tasks, the project team advanced efficiently with the unique execution capability of a central enterprise, constructing a "lifeline through the ruins" in just 36 hours.

1,500 cubic meters of rescue lumber fortified the safety barriers of temporary shelters; 3,000 liters of drinking water quenched the parched throats of disaster-stricken residents; 2,000 hot meals warmed countless trembling bodies in the cold night... At the tense yet orderly material distribution center, Chinese and Myanmar employees worked side by side through the night, carefully checking every set of rescue tools and packing each piece of emergency supplies. When the medical rescue team arrived in Nay Pyi Taw, the disaster-stricken area, all prepared materials were handed over immediately, gaining crucial time for rescue and relief efforts.

Rescue goes beyond material support; it lies in unwavering companionship throughout the process. The project specially arranged dedicated pickup trucks, experienced drivers, and translators to accompany the medical rescue team deep into the earthquake's epicenter. Tun Lin, a Myanmar driver whose hometown was in the hardest-hit area, drove through the devastated villages with sweat and determination on his dark face. "What the Chinese brothers have brought is not just lumber and water, but the hope for us to survive!" This simple statement embodies the gratitude of disaster-stricken people towards Chinese central enterprises and freezes the touching moment of mutual understanding between Chinese and Myanmar peoples.

While post-earthquake assistance is an urgent demonstration of responsibility, daily support is a lasting infusion of warmth. In Teluk Sepang Village, Bengkulu Province, Indonesia, every time Ramadan arrives, cheerful dokh drums echo along the clean village roads. Villagers dressed in festive attire perform the traditional Tabu dance, lining the streets to welcome the "Chinese relatives" from PowerChina International Group's Bengkulu project.

Upon learning that many residents in Teluk Sepang Village still lived in hardship and relied on relief, the Bengkulu project team immediately planned the "Ramadan Charity: Conveying Care" public welfare activity. Carefully prepared daily necessities such as rice, flour, oil, and sugar were distributed to needy families. Behind these heavy supplies lies the deep concern of Chinese central enterprises for local people's livelihoods.

"Thank you, PowerChina! You have not only solved the employment problems of surrounding villagers but also driven the economic development of the entire region!" Ahmad, the person in charge of RISMA Mosque, expressed sincere gratitude while receiving the relief supplies. He promised to lead the villagers in continuing to support the project construction. This mutual trust and recognition are the most precious rewards for central enterprises fulfilling their responsibilities overseas.

From Ramadan condolences to impoverished villages, to donations to orphanages and public welfare support for schools, volunteer teams composed of Chinese and Indonesian employees have left their footprints around the project, sowing the development concept of "joint construction and shared benefits" across Bengkulu's land. This persistence has also gained authoritative recognition—in October 2022, the "Report on Corporate Social Responsibility of Chinese Enterprises in Indonesia," compiled jointly by the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia and the China Chamber of Commerce, specially included the Bengkulu project's story of assistance, setting a model for Chinese enterprises fulfilling their social responsibilities overseas.

Countless practical efforts for people's livelihoods lay a solid foundation for happiness; numerous green initiatives safeguard ecological homes; and various public welfare acts gather the power of civilization. With their footsteps measuring responsibility and their original aspirations warming the Silk Road, the people of PowerChina International Group have written a profound and warm people's livelihood report along the vast "Belt and Road" route.
