MANILA, May 19 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and 10 others injured in a traffic collision in Antique province in central Philippines on Monday, the police said.
The police said the 64-year-old male van driver died at the scene of the crash that happened before 7 a.m. local time along a highway in Pandan town.
Footage posted on social media showed the speeding van occupying a part of the opposite lane and crashing head-on into a traveling bus.
The collision caused the bus to swerve onto the side of the road, hitting a pillar of a house. No residents or pedestrians were hurt.
The bus driver and the bus passengers were among the injured.
The van driver was the only person in the vehicle, which the police said was used to transport tourists.
The police are looking into the cause of the crash.
