Five people have tragically lost their lives and three others have been severely injured in a fatal collision between a speedy passenger bus and a microbus in Muksudpur upazila in Bangladesh’s Gopalganj district. The incident occurred on the Dhaka-Barishal highway at around 11.00 a.m., when the microbus collided head-on with a Dhaka-bound bus traveling from Barisal to Lubana. One of the deceased victims has been identified as Salma Zaman, 35, while the identities of the others are yet to be confirmed. The deceased individuals were all residents of the Gopalpur area in Kalkini upazila of Madaripur district. The injured have been taken to Rajoir Upazila Health Complex for treatment, as confirmed by Muksudpur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ashraful Alam.
