China says it's willing to share emergency management experience and training with Belt and Road partner countries.
The Ministry of Emergency Management of China has announced the creation of a new cooperation mechanism at a forum in Beijing. Representatives from 81 countries and international organizations attended the ministerial-level gathering on Thursday, November 16, 2023, which focused on safety and prevention.
The first council meeting for the new mechanism was held on the sidelines of the main event. Minister Wang Xiangxi expressed China's willingness to increase emergency management skills, training for first responders, exchange science-based knowledge and enhance mutual learning with its partners.
