Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am greatly honored to attend the 1st High-Level Coordinator’ Meeting of the BRIDRREM, being held today via Video Conference.

First and foremost, Cambodia wishes to affirm its full support to the Beijing Declaration and its BRIDRREM Framework, by tapping into the potential of the multilateral cooperation mechanism.

We congratulated the official launch of the BRIDRREM's Charter at this meeting. We agreed to put into full play the role of the Charter’s Council at the high-level engagements through various formats to advance strategic communication, and coordination efforts on practical cooperation for the mutual benefits and partnerships among the Belt and Road Countries and regions in the fields of disaster risk reduction, work safety and emergency rescue.

On this note, Cambodia stands ready to enhance cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral levels on its implementation, to jointly implement the BRIDRREM Framework towards a community with a shared future for mankind.

Finally, we would like to express our sincere gratitude and high appreciation to the Ministry of Emergency Management of the People’s Republic of China for their excellent arrangements made for the meeting. We look forward to the 2nd Belt and Road Ministerial Forum for International Cooperation in Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Management, which will be held in November 2023 in China.
