Ambassador:

Prevention and mitigation capabilities and jointly responding to the impact and damage of various disasters have become very important for the development of each country concerned.

The longstanding and profound friendship between our two countries have started more than 60 years ago. The traditional Cambodia-China friendly relationships jointly created by successive generations of Cambodian and Chinese leaders have a long history and will last forever in the new area. H.E. President Xi Jinping and H. E Prime Minister Hun Sen have attached great importance to such cooperation in various fields.

With high degree of political mutual trust, deepened practical cooperation and upgraded comprehensive strategic cooperation, China and Cambodia are further strengthening our strategic cooperative partnerships to promote the building of Cambodia-China community with a shared future.

The Chinese government has rich experiences and great capacity in disaster prevention and management. Cambodia welcomes the establishment and operation of the Belt and Road International Cooperation Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Management and will fully support the work of the mechanism in all aspects。
