Song Yuanming met with Changhee LEE, Director for ILO Country Office for China and Mongolia

Song Yuanming, Vice Minister, Ministry of Emergency Management of China, met with Changhee Lee, Director for ILO (International Labor Organization) Country Office for China and Mongolia in Beijing recently. The two sides exchanged views on further promoting the Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) project. 

Song Yuanming said that the Chinese government attaches great importance to work safety and has always prioritized the people and life. China has made every effort to prevent and resolve major safety risks, and remarkable achievements have been made in work safety all over the country. 

China has combined SCORE’s concepts, methods and approaches with conditions in the country, which has promoted to build harmonious labor relations, enhanced employees' sense of ownership and honor, eliminated hidden dangers while improving efficiency and increasing benefits, and achieved the unity of safety and development. SCORE has demonstrated strong vitality in China.  

China is willing to continue strengthening cooperation with ILO, further innovate and promote SCORE, build a people-oriented defense line for work safety, and contribute to the promotion of building a community with a shared future for mankind. 

Changhee Lee spoke highly of the remarkable achievements China has made in implementing SCORE. He said that China has innovated SCORE’s implementation model, injected new kinetic energies of safety into the development of new quality productivity, deserving Belt and Road countries to learn from. ILO is willing to further promote SCORE with China and benefit more developing countries with China’s successful experiences and practices.
