Training Course on Mine Rescue for Belt and Road Countries held in Beijing

Recently, the Training Course on Mine Rescue for Belt and Road Countries was launched in Beijing. Song Yuanming, Vice Minister, Ministry of Emergency Management (MEM) of China and head of National Work Safety Emergency Rescue Center attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
Song Yuanming pointed out that this training event is an important part of the 14 cooperation initiatives under the Belt and Road International Cooperation Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Management. The event aims at deepening international cooperation on mine emergency rescue, cultivating emergency management professionals for Belt and Road countries, enhancing standard of mine work safety, building an international rescue collaboration network, sharing mine monitoring and early warning technologies, and jointly building a global mine safety barrier. 
The training program will last for two weeks. Experts and scholars from National Work Safety Emergency Rescue Center, National Work Safety Emergency Rescue Survey Team and China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) will be invited to offer lectures to participants. During the event, participants will pay visits to CHN Energy and China Coal Science and Technology Group, take practical training course at Miyun Base of China Academy of Safety Science and Technology in Beijing and observe comprehensive mine rescue drills carried out by National Mine Emergency Rescue CHN Energy Shenhua Shendong Team in Inner Mongolia. Participants will take part in the joint emergency rescue exercises and activities of technical exchanges on mine rescue equipment.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China and organized by International Exchange and Cooperation Center of MEM, participants from Liberia, Myanmar, Serbia, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan got involved in the training course.
