2025 World Day for Safety and Health at Work held in Huzhou, China's Zhejiang

The commemorative activity of 2025 World Day for Safety and Health at Work was held in Huzhou, Zhejiang, China recently. Li Wanchun, Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Emergency Management (MEM) of China, and Changhee LEE, Director of the International Labour Organization (ILO ) Country Office for China and Mongolia attended the event. 

The Chinese side said that the Chinese government attaches great importance to the promotion and application of artificial intelligence in the field of emergency management and adheres to promoting modernization of emergency management through informatization. MEM pays high attention to the cooperation with ILO. The important cooperation outcome, the Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) project in China has become an effective way to achieve full participation of workers in work safety. SCORE will further integrate with the key work of national safe production and local practices, and actively help build the Belt and Road International Cooperation Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Management. 

The representative of ILO said that China has become one of the most successful countries in implementing the SCORE project. ILO is willing to share China's experiences and achievements globally.  

During the event, representatives of both sides visited the exhibition of outstanding cases of the SCORE project and attended the launching ceremony of the newly added pilot provinces. Heads of the Bureau of Workplace Safety Law Enforcement and Safety Supervision of Industry and Trade and Department of Investigation and Statistics of MEM participated in the activity.
