Being an important part the Belt and Road International Cooperation Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Management (BRIDRREM), 2024 China International Emergency Management Exhibition (CIEME) opened at China National Convention Center in Beijing on November 13, 2024. With the theme “Pioneering Safety through Innovation and Harnessing Intelligence for Emergency Response”, the exhibition has concentrated on technical equipment and application scenarios in the field of emergency management informatization, fire rescue, disaster prevention and relief, work safety and accident rescue. Wang Xiangxi, Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Management (MEM) of China visited the exhibition.
Xu Jia’ai, Vice Minister of MEM, and Mu Peng, Vice Mayor of Beijing Municipality, were present at the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Zhou Tian, Huang Jinsheng and Wang Kun from MEM visited the exhibition together.
As the sponsor of CIEME, International Exchange and Cooperation Center of MEM has aimed to promote the application and promotion of advanced technology and equipment, strengthen the guiding role of scientific and technological innovation, improve the modernization level of emergency management, serve the growth of BRIDRREM, promote the supply and demand of scientific and technological equipment for emergency management and international exchange and cooperation and help build capacity for international emergency management.
With a duration of three days and an area of 22,000 square meters, the exhibition has attracted more than 150 Chinese and foreign companies to show technical equipment and application scenarios including advanced intelligent equipment for emergency communication commanding, intelligent unmanned rescue equipment, intelligent mine risk prevention and control equipment, intelligent chemical park risk control equipment, and aviation emergency rescue equipment. The latest achievements of scientific and technological innovation and equipment development for emergency management are displayed in forms of physical objects, sand tables, pictures, and videos. During the exhibition, more than 10 activities will be held such as professional and technical exchanges, matchmaking of equipment supply and demand and product introduction.
